> How do I use the Power Search Tools?
Although hidden at first, the Power Search Tools on the left will open when you start viewing hotels or you can open it manually by clicking the triangle.
In addition to the Hotel Name Search and Show Chains discussed in the Navigation questions and the My Hotels button discussed in the Advanced questions, the Power Seach Tools give many other criteria to finesse your search. The current location is also displayed.
Divided into categories like Stars, Price Range, Style, Type, Proximity and Amenities, this section offers some 60 or more criteria with which to narrow your search.
Open any category and pick which criteria by which you want to limit your search. By default, ANY is selected which is the same as selecting all the criteria in a category. Clicking ANY will also clears any selections you have made.
Only one category opens at a time. Any selected criteria are shown even when closed. Use the scroll bar to move up and down the list.
Selecting the box for any criteria acts as a toggle; in other words, it will turn on or off the selection. Holding down shift as you select will turn off all other selections so only one at a time will display.
